I have used STEVIA powder for years in my coffee and to sweeten cereal, etc...
I just found out that they now have flavored liquid versions of it perfect to flavor your coffee!!

This stuff is calorie free & doesn't effect your glucose levels, unlike sugar and doesn't have the chemicals in it that artificial sweeteners do.
All you need is a tiny bit so it lasts a long time and is very inexpensive. I get mine at Trader Joe's.

Here is a link to read all about it & other Stevia products:

Are these good food scales for $22.99?

I am in the market for a food scale and i noticed that today's gold box deal (one day sale) on Amazon a Kitrics Digital Nutrition Scale (Black) and a Kitrics Digital Nutrition Scale (Silver). They list for $49.99, but are on sale today only for $22.99. I'm just looking for a basic food scale and these look good. Does anyone have any experience with Kitrics scales? I just want to make sure i'm not wasting my money. Thanks!

My favorite breakfast:

Start with 1/2 (65cals) or 1 (130cals) container Greek Yogurt (4oz; I like the honey vanilla)

Add 1/6 cup Craisins (70cals)

Throw in a tablespoon of this (40cals)

Then throw on some tasty granola, about 1/4 cup (70cals)

So 4oz yogurt:
215calories, 10g protein

And 8oz yogurt:
285calories, 20g protein

I have more frozen fruit then I know what to do with
Does anyone know any good smoothies recipes or anything else I can do with frozen fruit and I love soup And want to try and make my own . Does anyone know any good recipes

1 tbsp. curry powder
1 3/4 c. chicken broth
2 tbsp. plain low-fat yogurt
4 skinned & boned chicken breast halves (4 oz. each)

Return to saucepan, set aside. Put chicken, broth and garlic in a large skillet. Bring to a simmer, reduce heat to low, cover and simmer gently 6 minutes or until meat is no longer pink in the middle. Meanwhile, gently reheat sauce and stir in yogurt. Remove chicken to serving plate with slotted spoon. (Broth can be refrigerated or frozen for future use.) Spoon sauce over chicken. Serve with tomato, fruits and nuts on the side. Makes 4 servings. 120 Year Calorie Restriction diet recipes... I am learning how to cook better everyday.www.pro-thinspo.com/recipes.html

Hi everyone!
My name is Amy. I'm new here after a long period away from LJ, so just thought I'd introduce myself.

I like to put fat-free yogurt and low cal fruit in a food processer, blend it all up and then freeze in ice lolly moulds...does anyone else do this?

Hope everyone is okay! xo
